Statements of Belief

MISSION: The Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation's purpose is to provide financial and other resources in support of the curricular and co-curricular activities of the Monmouth-Roseville C.U.S.D. #238.

VISION: We Believe that education is the most meaningful investment we can make in our community. The Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation supports M-R #238 to provide our students with the best, high quality, well-rounded education possible.

    

Programs in Support of Education

TEACHER GRANTS: Grants are awarded to teachers to enhance student learning and to supplement what cannot be provided by the district or through state funding. We also provide a one-time $100.00 grant to all new teachers as a welcome to the District. New teachers can use their grant for whatever they need to complete their classroom. We are thankful for the support of local non-profits and foundations. Through grants from the Addleman Foundation and the Galesburg Community Foundation, we are able to provide wonderful after-school opportunities for our students.  

Current Projects

CENTRAL STAGE : This twice a week after school program for 4th - 6th-grade students at Central Intermediate focuses on drama. Central Stage promotes social constructivism through collaborations, a means to focus creativity, and above all, the chance for students to make bold choices, to learn from mistakes, and celebrate the end project of months of hard work. Students rehearse and perform one play per semester. this program is funded thanks to a grant from the Addleman Foundation.

EXPRESS YOURSELF: This weekly after school program for Kindergarten through 6th grad students focuses on social-emotional health and stress relief. The goal of the program is to help students learn the various methods to cope with sad, angry, or anxious feelings using art, music, movement, and communication to show students that there are many ways to help express feelings in a healthy way. This program is funded thanks to a grant from the Galesburg Community Foundation.

COLLEGE FOR KIDS: Each year the foundation provides scholarships for eight (8) Monmouth-Roseville School District #238 students to attend Monmouth College's College for Kids absolutely free! These are students who would otherwise not be able to take advantage of this incredible opportunity due to financial need.

                                                   

Fundraising

Each year the Foundation sends a letter to potential donors asking them for support. The Board is incredibly thankful for those who faithfully support the Education Foundation. In addition, many fundraisers are offered such as Pinned it Creations in Monmouth and Art Defined in Galesburg.
