Miss Cassidy's 4th grade class has been focusing on what it means to work together and support one another. Through class discussions, group work, and lots of fun activities, students have been practicing their teamwork skills every day!
We’ve challenged ourselves with Silent Ball, worked together to untangle a human knot, and put our teamwork to the test with cup stacking challenges. 🎯 These activities helped us practice communication, patience, and problem-solving—all while having a lot of fun! We’re excited to keep building our cooperation skills throughout the month.

To make the day even more magical, we dimmed the lights and read together using book lights, turning our classroom into a cozy reading space where imaginations could shine. 🔦📚
So proud of these readers for embracing stories, sharing laughter, and celebrating the joy of books! ❤️

These students have demonstrated truthfulness in both the hard moments and the good ones. Whether it’s admitting a mistake or standing firm in doing what’s right, they show us that honesty matters at all times. 🗣️
We are so proud of the way they choose to say the truthful thing — even when it isn’t easy. Thank you to our families and staff for helping us grow students who lead with honesty and heart. Congratulations to our amazing winners! 🌟

Students experienced some amazing exhibits, engaging displays, and interactive learning that brought classroom concepts to life. Field trips like this spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and create memories that last far beyond the school day. ✨

This engaging lesson was thoughtfully planned and taught by the amazing Sarah Mayfield, who guided students in understanding how art and math come together to create powerful visual storytelling. 👏🖌️

Today, Central Intermediate School is celebrating the joy, adventure, and power of reading! ❤️📖 On this special day inspired by the legacy of Dr. Seuss, we’re reminded that books can take us anywhere — across the country, around the world, and beyond our wildest imaginations. 🚀🌎
From silly stories to inspiring biographies, mysteries to math facts — every page we turn helps us grow as readers and learners. At Central, we believe reading builds confidence, creativity, and curiosity that lasts a lifetime.
📚 Today we encourage our students and families to:
✨ Read for at least 20 minutes
✨ Share your favorite book with a friend
✨ Visit your local library
✨ Start a new story together
Let’s make every day a reading day!

✨📚 Discovering the Power of a Name 📚✨
Our 4th grade students in Mrs. Johnston's room recently dove into a meaningful name research project inspired by the character Esperanza in Esperanza Rising. After exploring how Esperanza’s name shaped her identity and story, students turned the spotlight on themselves!
They researched the origins, meanings, and stories behind their own names — uncovering family connections, cultural roots, and personal significance. 🌎💛 It was powerful to see students make text-to-self connections and recognize that every name carries history, identity, and a story worth telling.
We love bringing literature to life in ways that help students better understand themselves and each other! ✨

🎨✨ Renaissance magic in the making! ✨🎨
Our 5th grade artists in Miss Collins' room took a trip back to the 1500s as they recreated scenes inspired by the legendary ceiling of the Sistine Chapel! 🖌️Just like Michelangelo, students explored the techniques, challenges, and creativity behind fresco painting while lying beneath their “ceilings” to bring their masterpieces to life. Talk about dedication! 💪🎨
This hands-on project brought our Renaissance unit to life—blending history, art, and a whole lot of imagination. We are so proud of their creativity and hard work! 👏

What quick activity do you use to build math fluency at home or in class? Share your favorites — we’d love to try them! 👇

So many great reads, new releases, and student favorites are available. Families can send cash or use e-Wallet for purchases. Every purchase helps support our school library. Don’t miss out: encourage your child to find their next great read!

Each student chose their own heart design, decorated it with creativity and care, and then selected words they love about themselves to proudly display on the front. From “kind” and “brave” to “creative” and “strong,” their hearts were shining with confidence and self-love!
It was such a meaningful way to celebrate the importance of positive self-talk and recognizing all the wonderful qualities that make each student unique. 💕✨ We are so proud of our 4th graders for embracing who they are and spreading kindness from the inside out! #HeartAffirmations #4thGradeShines #SelfLove #ClassroomCommunity

From exciting team challenges to sweet treats and creative activities, the classroom was filled with smiles all afternoon. It's so wonderful to see everyone showing kindness, teamwork, and great sportsmanship while keeping the day full of friendship and fun! 💕✨
