Curriculum Objections
A parent/guardian who believes that any curriculum, instructional materials, or programs violate rights guaranteed by any law or Board Policy may complete a Curriculum Objection Form. As set forth in Board Policy 6:260, objections to curriculum, instructional materials, or programs may be based on one of the “opt-out” provisions within the School Code or a student’s right to the free exercise of religion as provided by the First Amendment to the Constitution. Parents/guardians who are seeking an exemption based on an “opt-out” provision should submit the completed form to the building principal. Forms are available in all school offices.
