If a student would like to meet with one of us, he or she should sign up on our white boards at school, and we will call them from class. For parents and other community members, the best way to contact us is through e-mail but face-to-face meetings can also be arranged. Call ahead please!
For freshman and sophomore questions, please e-mail Mrs. Amanda Mendez at email@example.com.
For junior and senior questions, please e-mail Mrs. Emily Adolphson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bulletin 12/5/17: If you are planning to take a dual credit class through Carl Sandburg in the spring, please do NOT pay your tuition at this time. The district is using grant money to pay for dual credit tuition and fees at Carl Sandburg for the spring semester! If you have already paid, a check will be issued to you. This does not apply to you if you use financial aid for your tuition and fees. This is a very exciting grant that we hope we can use over and over again in years to come!
Bulletin 11/15/17: Eligibility for winter sports/activities began this week. Grades are pulled each FRIDAY morning, teachers are given time to update grades over the weekend, then official grades go into effect on MONDAY and last through Saturday. 1 failing grade requires students to attend study table once that week for 45 minutes (or until missing work is completed), and 2 failing grades disqualify a student from all activities for the week. Get into the habit of checking your grades regularly--preferably Wednesday nights so that you can talk to your teachers Thursday before grades are pulled Friday morning.
Bulletin 10/16/17: Invitations to FRESHMAN ORIENTATION are going out in the mail tomorrow! Click here for a copy of the invitation. All 8th grade students and parents are invited!

Students should have a list of colleges they would like to apply to prior to coming into the counseling office. Click here for more information on college applications. #collegechangeseverything
